Torii Gate Bench

Loosely based on the classical design of Japanese Torii gates, the Asian influence in the bench is most easily seen in the tapered legs and graceful curves throughout. The circular windows help draw the eye to highlight the through mortise and wedged tenon joinery which pays homage to the traditional craftsmanship of Japanese furniture.
